Deploying Apps    Deploying to Android Devices

General Deployment Guidelines

This page contains some general deployment guidelines for all devices.

Delete the test directory

Delete the inetpub\wwwroot\AppStudio7X\test directory, where X corresponds to your version of AppStudio enterprise mobility platform. This directory contains browser-based test pages for troubleshooting device-to-server connectivity, database and plug-in connection, and application usage.

For more information on using these pages, see Confirming Device-to-AppStudio Access.

Delete the deploy directory

If you are deploying your apps through an app store such as iTunes, and not by using the deploy directory of the AppServer, you can delete the inetpub\wwwroot\AppStudio7X\deploy directory. However, you often use the deploy directory for BlackBerry apps. Therefore, do not delete it if you are using it to deploy BlackBerry apps.

Delete the aspnet_client directory

The aspnet_client directory appears under the Default Web Site in IIS 6, 7, and 8. That directory was often used by .NET 1.0 and 1.1 features, though it can still be used by later versions of .NET.

If the aspnet_client directory is empty, you should delete it as part of deploying your app.
