Installing the Platform
AppStudio enterprise mobility platform provides a set of services that supports customized data access from a mobile device. These services include security, configuration, enterprise data exchange, wireless data retrieval, data formatting and filtering, and system logging.
AppStudio enterprise mobility platform consists of the following primary components:
- Configuration database: Stores configuration data about an app.
- AppServer: Provides authentication, access, logging to the configuration database via HTTP for mobile users and push capability.
- AppStudio Connector: Provides the bi-directional data interface between the configuration database and various enterprise data sources.
- AppStudio IDE: Allows administrators to build an app by configuring settings, creating app users, laying out the application display, and monitor mobile user behavior.
- AppStudio client: Receives the data that represents an app from the configuration database through the AppServer.
- AppStudio plug-ins: Facilitate the communication between applications and data sources.
