Announcing Release 7.3.11
The 7.3.11 release contains the following updates:
Updates for customers using Good Dynamics: Verivo customers who have Good Dynamics can now wrap iOS mobile applications in Good security, thereby providing an additional layer of data protection and administrative control.
Location polling – enhanced capabilities: We have also furthered enhanced our location polling capabilities. Verivo applications can be configured to access native device location services so a user’s current location is available to individual screens.
This release updates only client files. Accordingly, 7.3.11 client files will run with the previous 7.3.10 versions of application server and AppStudio. To learn more, check out the default client builds at ftp.verivo.com.
Deprecation Announcement: The 7.3.11 maintenance release will be the final release in which Verivo will provide support for the Android 2.1 OS. The next maintenance release (7.3.12) will provide support for Android OS 2.2 - 2.3. The decision to deprecate support for Android 2.1 was based on the eroding percentage of devices utilizing the Android 2.1 OS (as referenced in the Android OS Distribution reported on January 3, 2012). The impact of this deprecation is that Verivo-based apps in the Android Market will only be available on devices running OS 2.2 – 2.3 after 7.3.12 release. Verivo plans to expand Android OS support to include Android 3 (Honeycomb) and Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with an upcoming release. If you have any questions or concerns related to this update, please contact your Verivo Relationship Manager.
