iOS 9 and AppStudio
As you are well aware, Apple release iOS 9 on 9/16/15. Our development and QA team had been working with the iOS 9 Beta versions since June 2015. With iOS 9, Apple has made numerous API changes. As a result, you may encounter some issues with apps built with the AppStudio platform 7.6.1 (or earlier) running on iOS 9, depending on the specific features utilized within your app.
Known issues with 7.6.1 (or earlier) on iOS 9
|VS-48880||Application crashes after back navigation on iOS 9|
|VS-48882||Application crashes after save and upload new entity's records on iOS 9|
|VS-48883||Application crashes after tapping on the title bar button with popup menu on iOS 9|
|VS-48886||Application crashes after tapping on Cancel button in Add screen on iOS 9|
Starting February 1, 2015, new iOS applications uploaded to the App Store must include 64-bit support. Starting June 1, 2015 app updates also need to follow the same requirements. AppStudio 7.6.1 (or earlier) iOS applications are built for 32-bit platform. They will work on both 32 and 64-bit devices, but you will not be able to publish to the AppStore.
AppStudio 8.0.0 offers full support of 64-bit iOS platform and AppStore distribution.
All known iOS 9 issues were fixed in 8.0.0 Beta version.
To accommodate iOS 9, Appery recommends full regression testing of all your apps with AppStudio v8.0.0 prior to upgrading your devices to the iOS 9 release. Also, please note a server side upgrade is required.
